Eboracum House

Eboracum House is a small EMI care home that specialises in care for people with dementia.  Stays of any duration are welcomed as well as daycare packages to suit.

Friendly Care

Because we are small it means we have been able to create and maintain a very homely environment where everyone is known on a very individual basis.

The residents enjoy home-cooked food of their choice and a varied activity programme which includes reminiscence and life story work, quizzes, board games, musical activities, special themed events, art and crafts and a hairdressing service.

Here at Eboracum House we are a home from home care home and pride ourselves in enabling and assisting our residents to occupy their rightful place in society as valued individuals.

The home offers person-centred care in a warm, homely, friendly and peaceful environment. We believe that everyone is unique, and development and stimulation is key.

We pride ourselves on employing the most compassionate employees who are qualified to deliver high-quality care to all of our residents. Families and partners are also encouraged to be involved in the home life as much as possible. We work as a partnership with both the resident’s and their families to build the trust and relationship that we will give their loved ones the utmost care.

It is important that all our residents are happy, and we know how important activity is both physically and psychologically.

Eboracum House has 18 single occupancy bedrooms, with 2 of the bedrooms having en-suite facilities, and provides 24-hour care at all times.

Where to find us

Eboracum House is situated 1 mile from Barnsley town centre in a beautiful residential area opposite Locke Park.
